Education:

Applicants under the FSW class need to have completed a minimum of equivalent of Canadian high school. However, being the most competitive class of immigration, we highly recommend two post-secondary qualifications in order to score additional points in the skills transferability factor of Express Entry. The two post secondary  qualifications could be two bachelor degrees, one bachelor and one Master degree, or a Postsecondary or Post Graduate diploma in addition to a three-year degree program.

Age

Applicants get a maximum of 12 points for their age up to age 35, after which they lose 1 point for each year. At age 47 they get 0 points for their age.

Due to competition in Express Entry, we strongly recommend applicants be up to age 35 in order to be able to compete in the EE Pool. Otherwise, they will be required to resort to either a job offer or provincial nomination or some other scoring factor in Express Entry pool

Experience

A Minimum one year continuous, full time or equivalent part-time, post qualification experience at NOC level 0, A or B is required to meet the eligibility criteria of FSW.

In order to compete in Express Entry, we strongly recommend three years minimum qualifying work experience in order to score points in skills transferability factors.

Language

Applicants applying under FSW, need to have CLB 7 (IELTS 6.0) in each of the four language skills, viz, Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking. The applicant can get 4 additional points in the FSW points table for their second language, i.e, English or FrenchA higher score of CLB 9 or higher is the most desirable score in order to score higher and get additional points in the Skills transferability factor of Express Entry.

Adaptability

Applicants can score 10 additional points in the adaptability factor of FSW. They may score points for Spouse Language skills (English or French- CLB 5), a blood relative of applicant or spouse (parent, grandparent, child, uncle, aunt, sibling, niece or nephew) who is Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, Canadian post-secondary studies or Work Experience of Principal applicant or spouse and arranged Employment
